I definitely think that the national anthem stirs a national pride. Being in Vancouver over the 2010 Olympics, I have never heard it sung so many times, and so spontaneously! You could be riding the skytrain and someone would bust out singing it and everyone would join in.

As for the Classified song, I had hoped that we would hear it become almost an anthem during the Olympics, but it wasn’t as popular as I thought it would be. So.. more effective than Molson’s marketing? Probably not.

Do you think it would be a fair assessment to state that the song stirls a national pride amongst its listeners and that it increases awareness of our country to those outside Canada?

Do you think that this song is more effective than the marketing scheme created by Molson Canadian when they launched the I.Am. Canadian with Joe?
